‘Our Culinary Story’
Floris grew up in Aardenburg, Zeeland, where cooking was an important part of his daily life from an early age. His love for pure produce, craftsmanship and hospitality blossomed at the dinner table. These values still form the foundation of his cuisine today.
After completing his hotel management studies, Floris refined his skills in various leading gastronomic restaurants. There he developed his own style: technically strong, produce-driven and with great respect for origin and season.
As a natural reflection of his Zeeland roots, fish plays a central role, but a fine cut of meat is also indispensable on his menu. For Floris, nothing stands alone: every product, every preparation and every detail contributes to a single cohesive story where the experience is paramount.
Floris cooks to touch the soul and wants everyone to feel welcome, relax and enjoy themselves, and feel at home at the table. His kitchen tells stories of produce with character, the people behind the ingredient and a passion you can taste on the plate.
‘Where water whispers and history breathes’
Hof Ten Broeck has been inextricably linked to Liezele since the 13th century. Over the centuries, the castle has been a home and country retreat for various families. The proximity of the Fort of Liezele left deep scars: during the First World War, the building was heavily damaged.
With care and respect, Hof Ten Broeck was later rebuilt and grew into a restaurant and function room in the nineties.
Following a thorough renovation, the castle stands once more in its full glory today, ready for a warm and enchanting new chapter as a fine dining restaurant.

If you have any allergies, please let us know in advance so that we can take them into account. For last-minute changes, we will be obliged to charge an additional fee of €10.

Practical
Our car park is located behind the restaurant and is equipped with electric vehicle charging points.
Hof Ten Broeck is fully accessible for disabled visitors, with two parking spaces provided on the left in front of the main car park, and we also have a lift inside.
At Hof Ten Broeck there is no strict dresscode. Yet we believe that dressing nicely is part of The Art of Enchanting. We therefore gladly welcome an elegant, smart-casual style.
